Chef du Jour was set up in the Winter of 2010 by husband
and wife team James and Bianca Kinghorn.
James has been in the food industry since the age of 14 starting as a Baker then going on to Restaurants.
He Trained with Masterchef Ken Adams at the Waterdine for five years as well as doing work placements under Michelin starred chefs.
James achieved many accolades while training including:

Ludlow food festival young chef of the year 2001
Mid wales young chef of the year 2001
Mid wales chef of the year Runner up 2003
Worshipful company of cooks prize 2003
City of Guilds Medal of excellence 2002 (level 2 nvq)
City of Guilds Medal of excellence 2004 (level 3 nvq)

James has also had the honour of catering for Her Majesty the Queen on her royal visit to Ludlow Castle in 2004.

Bianca assists James in the kitchen and serves the tables with a smile on her face. She is passionate about all the small touches that make an event special.
